Umesh Yadav started very expensive. 16 off his 2nd over. Shardul Thakur gets dangerous looking Warner in his 5th over , with bit harmless delivery down the leg side.Bharat catches diving  brilliantly to his right off Warner's gloves.71/2. Warner 43. Post Tea with partnership crossing 100 , Aussies building a foundation for big score,  India desperate for the breakthrough. Test of patience, skill and stamina for Team India. India bit listless and clueless as Australia executing their plans nicely through aggressive Travis Head. Gets his hundred in 106 balls , after surviving lot of short pitched deliveries, especially from Siraj. And becomes the first player to score hundred in WTC Final. Smith too crosses 50 playing with lot of patience.

As partnership goes beyond 200, Australia steal the show on day 1.India takes new ball as soon as it is due inspite of around 17 plus overs bowled by each pacer, at 301/3 : 80 overs.
