#WTCFINAL : Day 2 :

Oval, London . Day 2 :

Another day dominated by Australia, with firm control over the match so far.

At start in the morning,  Smith starts in a great fashion, with 2 boundries completing his 100 no.31 on 3rd ball of the morning from Siraj. Unstoppable Head followed with 150*. At last bit unlucky Siraj so far gets the breakthrough for India, gets Head caught behind on 163 off 174 balls. 361/4 - 91.1 overs. Green in. Shami sents him back on 6 in 95th over, caught nicely by Shubman in 2nd slip - 376/5. Aussies were running away with the match at 5 plus per over , bit pushed  back.

1st hour : 55 runs / 2 wickets : 382/5.

And Shardul continues the wicket taking trend , removes the big Smithon 121 clean bowled with his 1st ball. - 387/6  - 98.1 overs.

Are Indians coming back in the match?

400/6 : 103 overs : Carey and Stark .

Substitute Axar's brilliant diving throw sents Stark back. 402/7.

At Lunch: 422/7 : 95 runs for 4 wickets in 1st session -109 Overs.

After good  partnership Jadeja traps Carey -  48 in front - on missed reverse sweep - 453/8.

Siraj bowled Lyon on 9 - 469/9, his 3rd and then gets Cummins , as Rahane's 100th catch.

469 all down. So excellent comeback by India getting last 7 wickets for 142 runs on day 2.

Prior tea both Rohit Sharma and Shubman Gill started confidently against Starc and Cummins. But Cummins traps Rohit in front on 15 in 6th over : 30/1.Then immediately Boland shocked India. Shubman Gill misjudged incoming delivery...shoulder arms and gets bowled. 30/2 - 6.3 overs and openers back. Forcing India on the backfoot within 35 odd minutes.

At tea India 37/2 in 10 overs.

India needs lot of application as far behind,432 to be precise. Needs a big big partnership from senior most seasoned companions Cheteshwar Pujara and Virat Kohli.

Big big blow just when Cheteshwar Pujara was looking confident.

Cameroon Green sents back Pujara , out in same way as Shubman on 14, another horrible misjudgement - 50/3 - 13.5 ov.

India in trouble - 419 behind.

It's Starc's turn now to hit. Gets Virat Kohli on sharp , steep bounce hitting on thumb, there by slowing a bit to get caught at second slip by leaping Smith. 73/4 - 19 overs. Virat - 14.

Another top-order failure in a knockout game for India.

100/4 - 25 Overs. Rahane - 17*, Jadeja - 20*.

Partnership crosses 50*.

Lyon gets Jadeja on 48 caught in slip , on his 9th ball -  142/5. Ravindra Jadeja extremely disappointed - had to walk off , just when both were looking extremely comfortable.

India finish day 2 on 151/5 - 318 runs behind.

With Ajinkya Rahane 29*  &  Bharat 5* , who survived blow on elbow area in last over.

Australia started second day in a very strong position:
