Spirited reply by England.

Afternoon fully belonged to Ben DDuckett who is 133 not out off 118. 207/2 - 35 Ov.

England are 238 behind with 8 wickets in hand.

445 is not looking that big and far at the moment.

200/2 : 34 Overs.

England continues with 6 runs per over, especially through  rampaging Duckett.

Brave drs call by Rohit gives India second wicket : Pope Lbw Siraj 39. 183/2 - 30 overs. Joe Root in.

England 152/1 : 26.1 Overs.

Ultra Aggressive Ben Duckett complete excellent 100 off just 88 balls , with a cracking on-drive to Siraj - 19 boundaries and a six.

Fastest test century by England in India.

England continues to counter attack mainly through Duckett .

England reach 100 in 17th over- Duckett 69*(59)

Wow...Ravichandran Ashwin strikes for 500th time for India in tests with his 1st ball of second over . Causing mistimed sweep to Crawley on 15 - 89/1 - 13.1 overs. Pope in.

England on attack right from start.Off to a flyer.

67/0 - 10 overs.

Ultra Aggressive Duckett 40* off 34 makes England reach 53 in 8th over.

Post Tea India started with Kuldeep Yadav and Duckett sweeps for consecutive 2 boundaries.

By Tea England openers quite comfortably made 31/0 in six overs. Duckett aggressive 19*.

So after winning the toss 33-3 ⏩ 445-10.

Excellent recovery from India after losing early wickets on the first day in Rajkot 🔥 Courtesy mainly due to 202 runs partnership between Rohit Sharma and Ravindra Jadeja off 330 balls.

Centuries from Rohit Sharma and Ravindra Jadeja ✅

A fifty from Sarfaraz Khan ✅

Important contributions from India's lower order ✅

Wood review lbw vs Siraj - missed leg stump, but next ball Bumrah lbw, on slower one from Wood. DRS confirms that ..so Bumrah out on 26.

So India 445 all down. Added 119 runs for 5 wickets on day 2.

Siraj pulls a muscle earlier due to mistimed reverse sweep ( saved due to edge on drs ) and then hurts his leg, completing second run to take Bumrah on 25, partnership 28 so far .

Bumrah hits some lusty blows including a six.

Jurel departs on 46 ( 104 ), mistimed late cut off Rehan, just after excellent 6 to mid-off - 415/9.

He narrowly missed out on a fifty...

...but that was a fine knock on Test debut from Dhruv Jurel 👌 👌

408/8 : Anderson fumbled but caught Ashwin on 37 at mid-on,off Rehan. Bumrah in. Jurel 39*. Partnership was 77.

Lady luck smiling on Jurel again : this time Ben Stokes of all , drops him at leg slip - at chest level. And later celebrates with a six to Rehan.

India cross 400 with both Ashwin and Jurel in their 30s and growing in confidence with partnership flourishing beyond 69.

Post lunch Jurel on 32 got dropped , by Pope off Heartly - simple chance at short mid-wicket.

India slowly inching towards 400: Added 62 runs in first session upto lunch - for 2 wickets. With 50 plus partnership  for 8th wicket between Ashwin 25* &  Impressive, confident looking Debutant Jurel 31* : 388/7.

Meanwhile Indian team got  penalised 5 runs through Ashwin ( Jadeja had received final warning earlier on day 1 ) , for running on protected area of pitch . So technically England 5/0 before start.

Jurel and Ashwin looking to build partnership.

Again first hour belonged to England , just like Day 1 : 27/2 in that : 353/7 : 100 Overs.

352/7 : 97.3 Ov : Ashwin 11* n Jurel 10*.

England struck early , within 20 minutes to remove both overnight batsmen: Kuldeep Yadav failed to Veteran Jimmy Anderson and Ravindra Jadeja caught and bowled to Joe Root on 112 : 331/7 from 326/5.

Another debutant Dhruv Jurel joined by Ravi Ashwin .

Jurel opened account after 10 balls , then employed a ramp shot against speedster Wood for a perfect six.

With the Bat: 3003 runs @ 37.5

With the ball: 280 wickets @ 24.4

Ravindra Jadeja becomes the third India all-rounder to complete 3,000 runs and 250 wickets in Test cricket , after the great Kapil Dev and Ravichandran Ashwin.
